11 Great Questions you’re NOT asking yourself that could change your life

When Jayson Krause’s best friend died of cancer in September 2005, he realised that he had never fully gotten to know him.

So he embarked on a year long project, asking 52 strangers the same 10 questions, one a week, in an attempt to challenge myths about connection and get people sharing more than just small talk.

Questions about life, accomplishments, fears, goals – all the things people never ask. This is one man’s mission to change the way we connect with each other.

I’ve responded to his questions below and feel it’s really important for everyone to do so.

Will you join us?

Start by answering these 11 questions, then share this post with others so they can answer it too.

Don’t let ONE MORE DAY go by in mindless conversations, when you could be getting REAL about the stuff that really matters and getting to know yourself and the people in your life.

Before it’s too late.

1. What is your dream job?

My dream job is to do something good and worthwhile in this world, to do something good for the development and happiness of others as well as which also marches me towards my personal excellence and growth as a human being.

I would like to inspire others to live a happy and joyful life, making them motivated towards achieving their dreams and living the life of their dreams while earning some pennies from my work.

I love to work online, dream big, and putting my efforts towards the achievement of my goals with passion, living my life for purpose and joy so that at the end I stand before me saying, “Yes, I did….what I ought to do….” inspite of regretting what I could have… or I should have…. and the best way I predicted is to write my thoughts and learnings, pushing and motivating others as well to chase their goals and live life the way they want.

2. What fulfils you?

Viewing myself growing as a good human being and living life with happiness and contentment.

Being a mom, nurturing my kid and having a good time with him, being connected with my friends and well wishers, sometimes just being along with my family and loved ones, sometimes travelling and discovering new places, sometimes laughing, sometimes dancing, sometimes reading, sometime solitude, sometimes walking and spending time with nature.

3. What’s your greatest fear?

What if I missed to work with passion and wasted my life? What if I could not provide the best education to my kid what I need to…for becoming a better human being. Providing best education is not only providing the required education and facilities, time and money but to make them self – stand and self – conscious that they can make themselves stand in midst of the uncertainties. Teach them the life lessons that they can take the best decisions for themselves and can judge what is right and what not.

The challenge before me is to be a better version of me from the one which I was a day before. I have to anyhow do something great and work towards my goals, take more risks and be more active each day, work more and more for betterment of myself as well as others.

One of my greatest fear is also not to lose my loved ones.

4. What do you want more of in life?

To do something great and achieve the joy of Happiness, Aliveness, Experiences, Wisdom, Learnings, Peacefulness and Contentment.

More intimate moments with my friends and family, creating memories, living in the now, loving and enjoying with my kid, spontaneous road trips, visiting new places and countries, experiencing more cultures, anything that has to do with being more social, exploring new things and experiences, giving happiness and joy to others, lending a hand of help to others.

5. What is your greatest accomplishment?

Being alive and initiating the first step towards my dreams and goals with faith and believe in myself.

For me:“When God pushes you to the edges of difficulty, Faith is taking the first step in the dark, even when you don’t see the whole staircase trusting that either God will catch you or he will teach you how to fly.”

Learning XX

Being active towards my self-development, marching towards personal excellence and inspiring others too. Reinventing myself to the new me on daily basis. Working and introspecting what meant to be and where I lacked.

6. What are you most ashamed of?

Nothing – I din’t did anything that I can’t stand in front of me. I do stupid things, I make mistakes, I fight with my loved ones and friends, and sometimes a bit lazy, sometimes I don’t do what I ought to do…..but It’s OK as I am HUMAN.

 7. What makes you sad?

Viewing injustice to anyone makes me sad. Harming the nature makes me sad. Injustice to women for dowry, their mental or physical harassment, rape attempts, children being exploited, poors being deprieved from the necessities of life, people being negative minded, and alike things.

8. What’s the hardest thing you’ve experienced?

The fear that if I did not clear my exams and could not even make out in even one of my subjects and the results did not come out the way I wish.

The fear that if I could not make out to fulfill my dreams and work passionately for the attainment of my goals.

Overcoming the feelings after the death of my father and looking towards the sunshine thereafter and climbing the ladder of success.

Departing from my Country for the first time.

9. What is great about you?

I am alive is itself a great thing about me. I live, I love, I care, I eat, I walk, I read, I write, I dance, I sing, I enjoy my live are all great things I cherish.

I am an optimistic, I see things from the positive angle, I am daring, I am friendly, I am an extrovert, I am a pro-active person, I am self-confident, I am a thinker, a doer and a believer of my thoughts and beliefs, I make the most of every situation, I am a force and I can do anything I wish are all great things about me.

I am grateful for the things I have been provided for which others are deprieved for. I am grateful for that I am provided the food to eat, a house to shelter and cloths to wear. I am grateful for my eyes, my nose, my ears, my hands, my legs and all my body parts that they function properly with a beautiful heart.

10. Who are you?

I am a human being who has feelings, emotions and a loving heart.

I am a living creature in this universe. I can feel, I can heal, and I can zeal. I have the ability to think, to see, to visualize, to smell, to sense, to touch, to hear, to taste, to lend a helping hand to others. I am a human and it makes me better from all the other species in this world, I have the ability to think and to decide with my human mind.

I am an optimistic, I see things from the positive angle, I am daring, I am friendly, I am an extrovert, I am a pro-active person, I am self-confident, I am a thinker, a doer and a believer of my thoughts and beliefs, I make the most of every situation, I am a force and I can do anything I wish with my passion and dedication.

Sometimes I am a bundle of contradictions. Sometimes I let my qualities lower and be the opposite, and that’s OK because I am human.

I try to do all the best I can but sometimes I expect for the results to be in my favour. I am a girl who wants to succeed and fulfill her dreams, who won’t stop loving and believing in her journey and her dreams, who knows that the efforts don’t go in vain and pay you something. Even a failure will give you an experience.

My real challenge is to be a good human being, true to myself, stay present, love wildly, live boldly, and be a good, kind and helping person, who shows people a mirror that reflects their AWESOMENESS & leaves them feeling amazing about themselves.

11. What inspires you?

Firstly most inspiring elements are from the nature itself. The designs we get, the ideas we get are all very from the nature. The developing of the inspirations is from the nature itself. To me nature inspires the most.

Rising and shining sun, the one who are successful are the inspiration to everyone. But for me, secondly are the Thinkers, believers, and the doers. People who are ALIVE and ACTIVE in every sense of the their lives, people who work for purpose and meaning, who work with passion and dedication, who work for others without expecting anything in return.

Thirdly people who are kind and helpful, those who live up their dreams, work passionately, have a vision, are self-confident, work to the grass root levels and take small-small steps to pursue their goals and vision. On attaining success and living an extraordinary life who inspire others to be like them.

Fourthly, it is the inspiring music, inspiring words packed in the form of quotes, inspiring videos, talented people, the books and the thoughts of the visionaries.
